Ms. Pepper describes herself as ‘a not-so-delicate mixture of elegance and caustic’. Her secondary pasttime is theraputic painting, but photography remains as her true passion. She strives to recreate the antique feel from the early days of photography, while also thriving on the bizarre. She adolizes the realm of macabre.
In her work, she acknowledges duality and the narrative power of the photograph. Art should always evoke emotion - whether that be a strong feeling of reminiscence and curiosity, or fear or repulsion; all art should tell a story. In her case, her work allows her to show others how she views the world while expressing her dualistic nature as an artist, a woman, and most importantly, as a human.
Her published work can be seen in Gothic Lolita Bible (USA) as well as featured on the websites for the Long Island Paranormal Society, About.com’s Paranormal section, and The Scottish Paranormal Society. She also works with various bands including the PAS (Post Abortion Stress), Zilmrah, and Shadow of Demise. She currently presents and is featured at shows at the Rogue Space Gallery in Chelsea, New York City.

Some years back, Ms. Pepper received her first camera as a gift from her father and discovered it to be her favorite way to express her creativity. She soon realized that photography was a sort of alchemy, and that the dark room would expose originally unseen qualities in her photography. Always constantly aware of her own mortality, she sees photography not only as a means to communicate but as a means to stop time.
